Carmel has released a song about the Burrup

Carmel Charlton has released ‘Ancient Rock Art‘, an emotionally charged song about the Murujuga Ancient Rock Art after hearing about it on Radio National. Carmen has generously agreed to share it with FARA,

Her YouTube Clip includes stunning image and explains that ‘The Burrup Peninsula is located on the north-west coast of Western Australia in the Dampier Archipelago. Murujuga is the aboriginal name for the Burrup. It is an area of cultural significance to Aboriginal people and also to the world. It is constantly under threat from industry. Around 10,000 petroglyphs have already been destroyed. The images used in the video were kindly supplied by Sallyanne Cousans.’
