Professor Benjamin Smith’s initial response to the Murujuga Rock Art Monitoring Report

Professor Benjamin Smith spoke to Gary Adshead on ABC 720 radio on Friday, May 23 to discuss the ongoing damage to the World Heritage-listed Murujuga rock art from industrial emissions and the newly-released Murujuga Rock Art Monitoring Report (MRAMP).

"We have a 300-page PHD at the University of Bonn writing by entirely neutral, independent people who've had really no interest in finding one way or the other, but is absolutely clear cut," Professor Smith said. "On the other side, we have a government-funded, industry-funded report, that does have a lot of the key evidence that shows the damage is happening, but where the conclusions have been quite carefully crafted in a way that's not clear."
